Slow type is a personal type design project that was first initiated during lockdown.
This typeface, giving neo-gothic vibes, is based on the mixed feelings brought by being in lockdown. Slow type is about the sweetness of being able to slow down coupled with the anxiety and the roughness of other days. The bold contrast of the letters, designed with rough edges as well as smooth curves, reflects this duality.
The project itself was also a way of escaping reality and enjoying being able to live slowly and pay attention to details.
